The Uganda Rugby Sevens teams, both men and women, are gearing up for their 13th African Games journey tomorrow in Accra, Ghana.

Led by captain Ian Munyani, the men's team remains focused despite the sweltering weather, with Philip Wokorach highlighting the team's determination.

"We are determined to emerge victorious in our opening games against Zimbabwe and Tunisia," says Wokorach.

On the other hand, the women's team, making their debut, expressed confidence under the guidance of head coach Charles Onen.

"We are ready for our matches against Tunisia and hosts Ghana," said Peace Lekuru and Agnes Nakuya.

In boxing, captain Muzamiru Semuddu is set for a comeback, facing off against Malm Henry, while Murungi Kasim challenges Ghana's Omar Abdul in the 57kg quarterfinals.

"We are prepared to continue our winning streak," said Semuddu.

Meanwhile, Uganda shines in cycling, securing a second gold medal through Kagimu Charles in the individual time trial.

"It's a remarkable victory," shared Kagimu.

With Uganda's impressive performance, the medal tally reaches 9 overall, with the latest medal won in Scrabble.
